I have always enjoyed photographing this week’s theme: DETAILS. When I was making my first forays into photography, my favorite subjects were the beautiful flowers in my backyard.  Now I dream of one day having an amazing macro lens to get up close with details in pets and nature.

Each of my pets have their individual details that I adore.  For Houdi, it’s his freckled legs.  I love Lola’s facial markings with the white handlebar mustache and grey chin patch.

Our beautiful Bella is, of course, known for her silky soft fur.  I happen to love the tufts of fur between her toes.

Loki never outgrew his adorable pink kitten nose.
